Today our lgbt student group co-hosted a panel with the family law society about the impact of New York’s Marriage Equality Act for everyday practicioners. We had 4 practicing attorneys, plus a state Assemblyman and the ED of a marriage equality organization, and it was amazing. It came together really well, they had over 40 law students actually stay and then ask legitimate, engaged questions. All of the presenters genuinely seemed to enjoy themselves and said the event went really well. They all even stuck around for a reception for longer than we had scheduled.
Then my Evidence class released us 20 minutes early.
Overall, I’m very happy about the last two days of my life, and I’m about to go to bed before 11:00 for the second night in a row.
